life is good

I was talking to Dede, a new workmate from Country road today and she mentioned how 'life is good'. And I'm sitting here sulking because MY NEW PHONE won't work? Like WHAT THE HECK? How Christian of me?

All I have been doing for the past couple of months is feel sorry for myself and allowing others perception of me lower to a point where I feel insignificant! What happened to the Tracey that was career minded that was motivated to allow God to bless her life without her worrying constantly what the future holds for her. Instead I have been filled with self pity and negativism

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I was watching my 4 months old niece the other day peacefully sleeping. As I watched her I sensed and felt an atmosphere of calmness in her, she was very serene. No dramas, no trouble, no stress. However, maturity undoubtedly results from these un pleasurable moments and experiences in our lives.

Dead set, everyone encounters traumatizing stages. Overwhelmed with instances of dramas created from the smallest words or behavior one has towards another. There are probably many times where we as humans feel like giving up, as if the whole world was against us and that we have nothing to live for anymore.

It's those things in life that one goes through to allow us to mature and grow. If it weren't for these so called 'dramas' where would I be now?

James 1:2b-4

"whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything."

If it weren't for the hard time in life, we wouldn't realize how great God is and the potential he has to reach out for us when we are down. I realize in the midst of all my circumstances even though I say I seek God's rescue, I don't really act upon that. I am through living at this state and I am willing now more then ever to jump up and live the life that God has set for me to live, not the life that my flesh is telling me to live anymore.

Girls, stop chasing boys

Since God is perfect, it is felt that you must not settle for anyone who less than fully measures up to your image of the ideal mate. Such persons are quick to bail out of a relationship at the first sign of another's imperfections, while others wait endlessly for that perfect relationship that never comes along.

Why chase, why look, why whine on and on about it when we all should just sit patiently and wait for the right guy to come up to us and sweep us off our feet. No more worries about passing him by, no more worries about whether or not you’ll find Mr right.

Changing jobs or churches to improve the prospects of meeting someone compatible, for instance, is out of the question. Faith demands that you sit still and wait for God to bring the right person to your doorstep.

I took a walk down memory lane today and became nostalgic of how life was ‘back in the days’. Remembering all the people that I have met throughout my life and all the people who have had an impact on my life but now I don’t even see nor talk to.

However, I realized that everything does happen for a reason. Even the most petite, insignificant events in your life that you have encountered do add up to becoming something worthwhile, momentous. And all the people has touched my life and helped mould me into the person I am today. I am ever grateful for those that have stood by me through thick and thin and supported me in many ways, for that I will never forget you!

Ever get those days where you are sad and happy at the same time? I know i am happy, because Jesus is in my life, and he has a reason and purpose for me on this earth. On the other hand, life as a young adult has too many challenges and barriers all in which time will change and therefore brings growth within our lives

A summary of the sermon in Satelite;

Speaker : Matt

Message: Purpose

1. Your birth may be accidental, but your life is NOT an accident:

Everything starts from God, find your purpose in God.

Young people without purpose do amazingly destructive things to themselves.

Think of yourself as a $20 note. A piece of plastic, worth nothing. but because of PURPOSE.. worth something.

2. It doesn't matter what's happened:

 Mistakes are God's specialty

-Jesus didn't die for your failure, but your future.

3. God has plans for you:

God only needs an ordinary person to do extraordinary things.
